The cottages sit in a unique location at the top of Trebarwith Valley - a designated area of Outstanding Natural Beauty - and enjoy stunning views of the Atlantic coastline including Port Isaac Bay and Trebarwith Strand.
The location is less than 1 mile from a sandy surfing beach: Trebarwith Strand, a mile from Tintagel with its world famous castle of King Arthur, Merlin and the Knights of the Round Table. Tintagel also has the 14th Century "Old Post Office", the 900 year of Church of St. Materiana, as well as a plethora of shops, inns and restaurants.
Park Farm Cottages were converted from the original farmhouse of Park Farm - a working Cornish farm from pre-17th Century right up until the latter half of the 20th Century, and parts of the cottages themselves date back to the 17th Century. They are built of local slate in the traditional Cornish style and have been lovingly restored by ourselves, adding the modern conveniences without, we hope, spoiling the "Olde Worlde" charm.'
Haywain Cottage, the lower floor of the old farmhouse, sleeps up to 4 people in a double bedroom and a twin bedroom. The conservatory leads into the well-equipped farm kitchen/diner, with electric cooker, microwave oven, toaster, fridge/freezer, and washing machine/dryer. The character lounge has an open slate fireplace, where a log or coal fire can be enjoyed. It contains a TV with Sky Digital and DVD & VCR players, coffee table, and comfortable suite. There is a shower room and separate cloakroom with washbasin and toilet. A hair drier, iron, ironing board, vaccum cleaner, and cleaning utensils are provided for your convenience. Haywain has a private lawned garden and patio with garden furniture and barbecue, which overlooks fantastic views of the valley and coastline. Both the conservatory and double bedroom also enjoy the fantastic sea views.
Crowsnest Cottage, the upper floor of the old farmhouse, sleeps up to 4 people in a double bedroom and a twin bedroom. The lounge/diner overlooks fantastic views and is furnished with TV with Sky Digital and DVD & VCR players, dining table and chairs, and 3-piece suite. The compact fitted kitchen overlooks sea views, and is fully equipped and includes electric hob/oven, microwave oven, toaster, refrigerator, freezer and utensils. Separate laundry room with washer/dryer The seaward-facing conservatory and balcony has stunning panoramic birds-eye views over the rural valley and and Atlantic coastline. The conservatory is equipped with heating so the spectacular views can be enjoyed at any time of year, no matter what the weather is like. The high balcony and staircase make this cottage unsuitable for children under 9 years.
Park Farm is located in the small rural village of Trewarmett that consists largely of traditional slate built cottages, which were built to house farm workers and the quarrymen who worked in the slate quarries around this area. The village inn, where you can enjoy a meal or quiet drink, is a 2 minute walk away. We regret we are unable to accept pets.
